Pork Chops in Beer Sauce (German Recipe)

Recipe for 4

Ingredients:
4 thick pork chops
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, grated
2 cups of dark beer,
1 tablespoon mustard
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Preparation:
Heat the olive oil in a sauce pan over medium heat. Sauté the grated onion for 2 minutes and add the beer. Season with salt and pepper and bring it to boil. Add the mustard and honey and stir to mix. Decrease the heat and simmer until sauce thickens. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper. Grill the pork chops in a deep grill pan until cooked thoroughly. Half way to completing the grilling add the beer sauce and decrease the heat. Let the pork chops absorb the flavours of the sauce until cooked.
Serve warm with French fries. Enjoy!
