Yellow Submarine

Recipe for two
Ingredients:
1 baguette
1 ½ cups of grated Edam cheese
3 slices of ham (cut in small squares)
1 slice of bacon (cut in small squares)
1 teaspoon Oregano
Pepper
½ cup of cabbage shredded
1 tablespoon Mayonnaise
1 tablespoon ketchup
Preparation:
Cut through the baguette splitting it into two even parts. Spread evenly over the two parts the ham and bacon. Season with pepper and the oregano. Cover both parts with edam cheese.
Preheat the oven and preferably choose the grill setting in full power. Place the baguette in the oven choosing to place it as closer as possible to the grill. Leave it there for 5-6 minutes until the cheese melts and remove. Choosing this technique the baguette remains soft and does not overcook.
Mix the mayonnaise and ketchup until you get a pinkish color. Spread this sauce over the melted cheese and then add the cabbage. You may season it with a little salt if you would like. Join the two parts and use aluminum foil to wrap it. This will keep it warm for a while. Cut the sandwich into to portions and enjoy!
