Classic Club Sandwich (American Recipe)

Recipe for 2

4 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoon mustard
6 slices of white bread (preferably of square shape)
1 tablespoon butter
2 lettuce leaves
2 slices cheddar cheese
4 slices turkey ham
2 thick slices tomato
4 slices bacon
2 eggs

First place the eggs in a small saucepan with water and cook until hard boiled (about 10 minutes).
Then combine mayonnaise and mustard in a small bowl and mix well. Toast the bread and while still hot spread 1 teaspoon mayonnaise mixture on 1 side of each toasted slice.
Place a nonstick frying pan on medium heat and melt the butter. Then add the turkey ham and the bacon and fry on both sides. Remove before crunchy and drain on kitchen paper.
Cool the eggs and peel them. Cut them into thick slices and season with salt.
Start to assemble the sandwich. Lay one slice toast, mayonnaise mixture-side up on a plate. On top of it lay, 1 lettuce leaf, 1 slice cheese, 2 slices turkey ham, 1 slice toast, mayonnaise mixture-side down.
Spread 1 teaspoon mayonnaise mixture on toast. Continue assembling the sandwich with the slices of one of the eggs, 2 slices bacon, 1 slice tomato, and 1 slice toast, mayonnaise mixture-side down.
Secure with toothpicks and cut into triangles. Continue the same procedure of assembling for the second sandwich. Serve with some potato chips and .....Enjoy!
