Strawberie trifle

Recipe for 6

Ingredients:
350gs ready made vanilla cake
400g strawberries, sliced
1 tablespoon golden caster sugar
500g pot of good quality vanilla custard
250ml pot double cream, lightly whipped
good quality strawberry jam
strawberry or raspberry liqueur

Preparation:

Slice thickly the cake. Spread jam over the slices and sandwich it. Cut into cubes. Sprinkle the sugar over the strawberries in a bowl.
Divide the cake cubes between 6 glasses and sprinkle a little liqueur over them. Spoon over the sliced strawberries and any juice and then top each with a layer of custard and a layer of cream. Decorate with strawberries and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Serve directly from refrigerator and enjoy!
