Baked garlicky bream with tomatoes

Recipe for 2

1 sea bream (about 500gr.) or sea bass
4 tomatoes sliced in half
2 cloves of garlic sliced
1 handful of basil leaves sliced
Juice of a lemon
5 tablespoons olive oil
Salt/pepper for taste


Preheat the oven to 200C.
Place the tomatoes in an oven proof dish, drizzle with 3 tablespoons olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Scatter the sliced basil and garlic over the top.
Meanwhile, slash the fish three times on each side to allow it to cook more evenly. Brush the fish with the remaining olive oil and the lemon juice. Generously season with salt and pepper the fish. The remaining olive oil and juice pour it evenly inside the oven dish.
Cover the oven dish with aluminium foil and bake for about 30 minutes or until the fish is cooked. Five minutes before the end uncover the oven dish.
Serve the fish and tomatoes with some rice. Enjoy!
