Recipe for 6
4 cups milk
1 cup water
1/2 cups short grain rice
1/3 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sugar
1 bag of vanilla
2 teaspoons of corn flour
1/3 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
Place the rice with water and salt in a medium saucepan. Boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Just before absorbing all the water remove the pot from heat and let it stand but not to cool completely.
In the meantime using another sauce pan bring 3.5 cups of milk and add the sugar to dissolve.
As soon as the milk is warm enough, add it to the pot with the rice and return to low heat. Allow to cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Place the remaining milk in a small bowl and dissolve in the corn flour, nutmeg and vanilla. Pour the mixture of milk and corn flour in the sauce pan with the rice and stir continuously until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and divide the rice pudding into individual serving bowls.
Sprinkle with cinnamon each rice pudding.
Serve the pudding warm or cold you. Enjoy!
