Spicy Lamb Kebab

Recipe for 4

1kg lean lamb steaks, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 lemon, its zest and juice 
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
4 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon turmeric 
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon ground cumin


Combine in an electric food blender the garlic, ginger, lemon juice and zest, olive oil, turmeric, cinnamon, coriander and cumin. Place the lamb in a bowl and pour over it the sauce from the blender. Mix with your hands to coat the meat with the spices. 
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours. Thread the meat onto skewers.
Barbecue or grill the meat for 4 minutes on each side or according to your own preferences. Season with salt while cooking.
Serve with fresh beetroot salad and pita bread. Enjoy!
