Veggie Balls (Manchurian Recipe)

Recipe for 6-8

Ingredients:
2 cups grated vegetables (cauliflower, cabbage, carrots, broccoli)
4 tablespoons corn flour
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon all purpose flour (might need some extra)
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 tablespoon ketchup
2 teaspoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
Vegetable oil (for frying)

Preparation:

Chop the vegetables very finely using an electric chopper/processor (if not available you may grate them). In a bowl mix together the chopped vegetables; the ketchup, soy sauce, onions, grated ginger, chili powder and the olive oil.
Add the corn flour, the all purpose flour and mix thoroughly and keep aside covered for 45 minutes. You will notice that the vegetable mixture has become thicker.
Heat enough vegetable oil in a pan for deep frying. Powder your hands with some flour. Take the vegetable mixtures with your hands and shape them into small balls. Arrange them on a platter. Fry them in batches until golden brown on one side and then turn to cook both sides. Remove to drain on a paper towel.
Serve hot with some sweet and sour sauce on the side or some ketchup. Enjoy!
