"Frango a passarinho" or crispy chicken pieces (Brazilian Recipe)


Recipe for 4-6

Ingredients:
1 whole chicken (2.5-3kg) cut into pieces or 3kg of any chicken parts you prefer
4 cloves garlic (crushed and chopped)
3 bay leaves
1 cup of finely chopped parsley
The juice of 1 lemon
Salt and ground black pepper to taste
Cooking oil (for frying)

Preparation:
Rinse the chicken and dry it with a paper towel.
Put the chicken in a bowl and season it with garlic, bay leaf, parsley, lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste. Mix all the ingredients together. Cover the bowl with a plastic film and refrigerate for at least 8 hours.
Put the cooking oil in a deep frying pan and let it heat. Deep fry the chicken in the hot oil until golden brown. Remove and drain the fried chicken on a paper towel. Serve hot and enjoy!
